Dr. Lin practiced pediatric dentistry at the National Taiwan University Hospital prior to her academic career in the United States, gaining firsthand clinical insights into the complex nature of patient-provider interactions and healthcare delivery challenges. Her research focuses on computational modeling of human cognition and emotions, social determinants of health, empathy in human interaction, and medical education — with particular interest in integrating psychological and behavioral perspectives and ethical frameworks into AI-driven innovations. The unique combination of Dr. Lin’s clinical experience, research expertise in human-centered healthcare, and leadership in research compliance enables her to address critical issues of designing and implementing AI-integrated healthcare to improve accessibility and health outcomes for diverse populations.
