Sadie Smith, MPH
Sadie is a Research Scientist with experience in community mobilization, patient advocacy, and health education. Sadie is passionate about reaching disproportionally affected communities and identifying ways to engage with them to produce equitable and positive health outcomes. Previously, she participated in research that focused on decreasing negative health behaviors (such as binge-drinking, smoking cigarettes, or unhealthy eating) and increasing the public's knowledge of advantageous social and health behaviors. Additionally, Sadie worked at the Centers for Disease Control, where she helped to improve public health programs related to infectious diseases. Sadie's past and current priorities include integrating social determinants of health into every research project and program, to reduce disparities and promote health equity. As a Research Scientist, Sadie works to develop and carry out community-focused projects that will improve health outcomes.
