Health innovation begins with understanding real-world health challenges - and bringing the right expertise, technologies, and partners together to address them.
Today's most complex health challenges do not fit neatly within a single discipline, organization, or sector. Improving health requires us to connect discovery with implementation, data with decisions, technology with people, and education with the workforce needs of tomorrow. This is the role of the Louisiana Center for Health Innovation.
At LCHI, our mission is to transform research into action. We bring together expertise across the University and work with healthcare organizations, government, industry, technology partners, and organizations across Louisiana to develop and implement practical solutions to real-world needs.
Louisiana provides an important environment and extraordinary opportunity for this work. Health needs, workforce capacity, access to care, infrastructure, and available resources vary across our rural and urban areas. These differences create opportunities to develop, test, and implement practical approaches that can strengthen health and healthcare across the state.
As part of a Carnegie R1 research university, LCHI is well positioned to connect UL Lafayette's research strengths with the needs and opportunities of our state.
