The Louisiana Center for Health Innovation at UL Lafayette has partnered with the Opportunity Machine - Lafayette’s Center for Entrepreneurs and Louisiana Economic Development to provide a new opportunity for students and faculty to get involved in the Opportunity Health accelerator and Get Started Medical Pitch Competition during the annual Innovate South Conference in Lafayette, LA.

We are looking for the best and brightest faculty and students to serve as subject matter experts, or potential interns for Opportunity Health, a new program that will help connect some of the University’s finest talent with high-growth startups. We are currently recruiting individuals in the following departments-

Nursing/Allied Health
Computer Science/Informatics
Biology
Business/MBA candidates
Graphic Design
Communications
Kinesiology
Engineering

However, students from all departments are welcome to apply.

This event is a great opportunity to -

Explore entrepreneurship and startup development
Share your experience or learn new skills
Expand your resume, CV, portfolio
Network with local and national healthcare professionals
Discover potential scholarship and/or job opportunities
The partnership is a win-win for faculty to participate as a subject matter experts that may increase exposure, funding opportunities such as grants, research, and product commercialization. Your participation will be virtual, but if COVID restrictions allow, you may meet some of these high-growth startups at this year’s Innovate South conference.

If you have any questions, please contact Katherine Nebel, Development Director, Opportunity Machine 337-769-4085 or email katherine@opportunitymachine.org.
