Nursing and Health Sciences Informatics Bootcamp
The Louisiana Center for Health Innovation is partnering with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Louisiana HIMSS Chapter to host the Nursing and Health Sciences Informatics Bootcamp from November 20 to 21, 2025, at UL Lafayette. This intensive two-day course, guided by the ANCC framework, will educate attendees on the scope and standards of Nursing and Health Sciences Informatics practice. Topics will include leadership, professional trends, data management, human factors, system lifecycle steps, as well as key concepts in informatics, IT, and data security.
This program is approved for up to 14.0 contact hours of continuing education (CE) credits. These credits may be used to fulfill the continuing education requirements for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC), the Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy (CPDHTS®), the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS®), and the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CAHIMS®). To earn a certificate, participants must attend the entire activity and submit an evaluation form.
