Christian "Parker" Bristow
Christian “Parker” Bristow is an undergraduate Research Assistant majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Pre-Professional Exercise Science. He plans to pursue a career as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, with a commitment to supporting the healthy development of neurodivergent and disabled children. Parker is especially passionate about ensuring that kids—particularly those in under-resourced communities—can access the care and programs tailored to their unique needs.
His experience in LCHI’s TExBioMed program has broadened his understanding of community health research and deepened his appreciation for the many societal factors that shape individual and community well-being. Through the program, he has strengthened his time-management skills, sharpened his ability to read and interpret academic literature, and expanded his perspective on collaborative, community-centered research. Parker’s commitment and hard work were also recognized when he earned third place for his presentation.
With the skills and insights gained under LCHI’s mentorship, Parker feels increasingly prepared to help identify the programs and resources most needed in communities that deserve heightened attention. He is currently working with LCHI with ongoing research projects.
